The story of the STC Group has been one of continual drive and expansion. It began in 1974 when a team of traders with over ten years’ experience in rice milling joined forces to establish the Saeng Thai Bangpakong Co., Ltd. The company began with warehousing in the tapioca business, but quickly expanded into a major purchasing and trading centre for rice export.
Established in 1977, Capital Rice Co., Ltd., has been one of Thailand’s top rice exporters, and well recognized worldwide for its long years of remarkable performances, trustworthiness, and efficiency. Its strength lies in effectiveness of production of high standard quality products, introduction of advanced technology, adoption of modern machinery to enhance productivity and competency, and more importantly, promptness of transportation and services.
The Central Isalamic of Thailand has investigated and certified for the manufacturing of consumer products which their procedure of Capital Rice and Capital Cereals meet the requirement of Halal Certificate, and the enterprise operators agree to comply with all regulations strictly.
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) assessed and certified by SGS (Thailand) Co., Ltd., for the processing of rice as meeting all the requirements.
Highlighting Capital Rice’s series of achievements was its receipt the Thai Hom Mali Rice Award Logo from the Department of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce of the Thai Government in recognition of its outstandingly successful Thai Hom Mali Rice exports to the global markets.
Thai Hom Mali Rice Logo signifies the best. nutritive, and the most delicious rice which is grown in Thailand.
Took pride in being cited by the United Nation’s ICM (Integrated Commodity Management) recognition. The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) initiated a pilot project on Integrated Commodity Management (ICM) to identify effective alternative infestation control systems, and to integrate existing and new procedures correctly and effectively into the system of quality and pest management.
Received ISO 9001 certification from SGS (Thailand) Co., Ltd. for the processing and exporting of rice which met all the requirements.
(Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) also certified by SGS (Thailand) Co., Ltd. for the processing of milled rice for export which includes; White Rice, Glutinous Rice, Parboiled Rice, Jasmine/Fragrant/Hom Mali Rice, Brown/Cargo Rice and Packed Organic Rice.
Received the SR Mark (Social Responsibility Mark) Award given to entrepreneur, manufacturer/exporter by the Department of Export Promotion. The award symbolizes partnership through contract farming, to improve the quality of life for Thai farmers, and to contribute to building a sustainable economy.
Received the prestigious Best Exporter Award from the Thai Government categorized as Export honorary Recognition on the 10th anniversary of Prime Minister’s Export Award.
The Department of Export Promotion conferred Thailand Brand Award on Capital Rice to symbolize the guarantied product quality.
Received the Prime Minister’s Export Award 2000 for outstanding performance as Best Exporter. In addition, it is a proud recipient of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) certificate - the proof of its products’ quality and safety.
Received the Gold Award in the category of consumer goods under the “Great Harvest” Organic Hom Mali Rice (Jasmine Fragrant Rice) program for the Best Marketing Award ompetition 1994 – 1995 organized by Thailand Management Association in collaboration with the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Thammasat University.
Received the Original Quality Thai Rice Logo Award from the Department of Export Promotion, Ministry of Commerce to entrust, the premium quality rice from Thailand.
Received the Best Quality of Thai exported Products in the category of rice from the Thai Government.

Established Capital Chai Nat Rice Mill Co., Ltd. to produce parboiled rice in Sappaya district of Chai Nat Province.
Exported the largest number of over 2 million tons of rice, making a volume record of rice exports ever to the world market.Rice product brand name “Great Harvest” of Capital Rice received product award 2009 – 2010 in category of the packed Jasmine rice which maintained consistently invariable quality standard for the sixth consecutive years.The organic rice project attained its 20 years unfolding, covering the whole area of about 5,721 rai (2,261.9 acres) at present, increasing from 3,000 rai (1,186.1 acres) in the past, along the adjacent districts of Theong, Chiangrai, and Chun, Payao.

Moved the Head Office to Thai Sri Tower serving as administration office up to now.
Firstly exported the organic rice to the global market. The production area stretched along the border line of Chiangrai and Payao provinces whereas a certified area included 5,000 rai (1,976.77 acres) with productivity up to 3,000 tons per year.

Capital Rice and Chiangmai Chaiwiwat Rice Mill associated with its co-trader; Riseria Monferano of Italy, foreseeing that the consumers’ demand for organic rice was obviously potential, and thus, being supported by the government sector, Department of Agricultural Techniques, cooperatively planned to develop the rice organic scheme for the first time in Thailand. The program was certified by Bioagricert.
